General Information:
The Fairmount Police Department periodically needs to fill positions for patrol and dipatch. We publish these openings with the local newspaper. The Fairmount Police Department accept's applications until official notice of hiring. We also have a reserve police officer program.
Applicants need to meet the following basic requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age for patrol division, 18 years of age for dispatch division.
Must be a United States Citizen
Must have high school graduation (or GED equivalent)
Must possess a valid Indiana Driver License upon appointment
Must be of good moral character
Must not have any criminal convictions
